Unlike many other equestrian arena fibres, Endurance carpet fibres are made from upcycled new carpet loom ends that have never been used before and are laboratory quality assured. They are pre-consumer fibre, NOT post-consumer carpet. This means they have NOT been used before, so there is no chance of it containing carpet grippers, nails and other unwanted contaminants. Our arena fibres meet all the Environment Agency's regulations - see Environmental Approvals here. Our fibres are rigorously tested for quality and are contaminant-free.
We welcome the news that new regulations will ensure that surfaces are free from contaminants, making them safer for horses and better for the environment. Endurance Arena Fibre StandardChemical analyses have been performed on the composition of the carpet fibre we use on a dry matter basis, and also the leaching effects of hazardous substances. Results showed that all levels of possible hazardous substances are well below the maximum permitted values of the Soil Quality Regulation.
Our fibres have also had thorough laboratory testing for organic material & contaminants. Test results showed the sample mainly contained PP fibre, with small amounts of PET and PA. All these fibres are synthetic. Our fibres contain no organic material, so they can be trusted for quality & durability; they are fully synthetic resulting in long-lasting performance.
